Visualize the Status of the Railroad Maintenance Facility
The overhead lines of electric railways carry high voltage currents and maintenance work on railway vehicles can not be conducted while they are powered or in motion. In order to ensure safety for maintenance personnel, it is necessary to verify the condition of the vehicles before performing any maintenance tasks.
The vehicle status is transmitted wirelessly from the WIO transmitter to the receiver at the work site, with red indicating the vehicle is being energized, yellow indicating the vehicle is moving through the rail, and green indicating the vehicle is not energized, allowing work to begin safely. By using the receiver as a relay extends the communication range to 400 meters, the status can be displayed from the front to the rear of the train.
