Remote monitoring reduces loss from stoppages

Issue

Machine operators manage multiple production lines. Production lines located far from the factory site may not be notified when an issue occurs with their equipment, which delays corrective action and result to revenue loss.

Proposal

The NBM receives signals from the PLC's I/O unit and sends emails to machine operators who are away from the factory floor, alerting issues occuring in the office or on the production floor in real time.
